Our Everyday Moments
Our days slip by so fast. I blink. And we are on to the next birthday, the next shoe size. At least once a week, my husband commands that our children stop growing. I know how he feels. Some days I can’t wait until they are old enough to be independent, and on others I wish I could hold them tight and fast, just as they are – capturing their childhood sparkle like fire flies in a jar.
Luckily, photographs do just that. Savoring those moments that otherwise would evade our grasp, as sand slips through our fingers. So I’ve joined with a few talented photographer moms to share the everyday moments in our lives. Each month, we will link our blogs in a circle to photograph, share and celebrate our small, daily joys. For it’s these tiny, mundane, beautiful, frustrating, fabulous pockets of time that wind together to create our life.
The timing couldn’t be better for our first blog circle post — because I’ve just finished the amazing Lifestyle with Kids workshop by CM’s Ashley Spaulding. To say it was informative and inspiring doesn’t do it justice. The experience changed my heart, and how I view photography. I’ve become passionate about capturing my family and our daily life in a way that captures the essence of who we are. So here are a few images shot as we went throughout our days for the past month.
